Ingredients

1kgr Beef cut in pieces
1/2 cup Olive Oil
3 chopped Onions
3 cloves Garlic minced
1 shot Whiskey you can use red wine instead
2 Tomatoes grated
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
1/4 tsp Clove grounded
1 stick Cinnamon
1 Bay leaf dried
to taste Salt,Pepper
2-3 cups Warm Water
5 Eggplants cut in pieces
for frying Vegetable Oil

Since summer is the best time to eat eggplants I had to make beef and eggplant stew!

Once you cut the eggplants into pieces ,place them into a bowl full of salt (this will remove the bitterness of the eggplants)and leave them in the water while you are cooking the beef.

In a large pot add the olive oil and when it is hot enough place the beef or the veal and let it sizzle for a few minutes until it changes its colour.

Remove the beef, add the onions and let it sizzle for a few minutes.Now add the beef, the whiskey and three minutes later add the spices, the tomato paste and the graded tomato and let it cook.In a pressure cooker it takes about 45 minutes(in a regular pot it takes three hours).

When the meat is cooked it is time to fry the eggplants.When you're done with frying put the eggplants into the pot, give it a good stir and you're done!
Serve it with feta cheese and bread!
