Ingredients

2/3 cups Vegetable Oil the original recipe calls for 1 cup olive oil
2 cups thick Semolina
3 cups Granulated Sugar if you want reduce the sugar to 2 cups
4 cups Water
50 gr Pine Seeds you can also add almonds or walnuts
1 stick Cinnamon
4 Clove

This halva recipe is known as 1…2…3…4… halva ,because of its cups of ingredients. I twisted the original recipe a little bit so this is my version!

Perfect during fasting period!

In a small pot add the water, the sugar, the cinnamon stick and the cloves.Let it come to a boil and cook it for about 10 minutes.Then remove the cinnamon and the cloves.

In a large pot add the vegetable oil and when the oil is hot enough add the pines and let them sizzle for a few minutes.

Now add the semolina and let it cook while you are stirring. The semolina will change its colour and become light brown.

Now slowly add the syrup and keep stirring.At first it will be runny but while it is cooking it will become thick.
When it doesn't stick any more to the sides of your pot it is ready to transfer it into a cake mold.
